- In this Professional Development workshop for Certified Narrative Enneagram Teachers and Practitioners, Joan Ryan will provide an overview of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and explore the commonalities with Narrative Enneagram practices. You may attend live or register to receive the recording.
- IFS is a therapy model that maintains that the mind is made up of different Parts. When Parts are made visible and accessible, one can soften their impact by compassionate inquiry and make more space for Self to shine through.
- Joan has adapted the IFS model to assist Enneagram students to delve into the structures of their Enneagram type in unique and accessible ways. In essence it can be an answer to the question "What do I do now that I know my Enneagram type?"
- Join us for a one-day workshop to:
- • Understand the basic IFS model and practice basic IFS methods that you can implement in your work with clients
- • Explore the 8 key attributes of the IFS concept of Self: compassion, curiosity, connection, courage, calm, clarity, confidence, and creativity
- • Discover how the IFS defined Parts appear in individuals of the same type in predictable patterns
- • Learn techniques to explore Type and resource points through an IFS lens, practice in breakout groups, and ask questions
- • You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how IFS and the Enneagram can work together and how your clients can unblend and communicate with different Parts to bring conscious awareness to habits of mind, emotion, and actions.

- This event is open to Certified Narrative Enneagram Teachers and Practitioners.

- • Presentation portions will be recorded and sent to all registrants.
- • We do not currently offer ICF CCE credits for this workshop.
- • Technical requirements: You will need a computer with internet access; headphones are optional but may be necessary.
