Overview
We already recognize that we have bias relative to our type and its particular worldview. This offering is a unique engagement at the intersection of Enneagram type, racism, and justice, specifically geared for white-bodied people.
- Join us to explore themes related to the systemic nature of racism, the culture of white supremacy, power, and control. The Enneagram and Justice is a course for white-bodied Narrative Enneagram Teachers and Practitioners, along with those in the process of completing their certification. It is particularly important to be curious about and attend to the influences of whiteness on our understanding of Enneagram Type.
- Each gathering is shaped around the truth that embodied presence is essential to learning ways of being aligned with justice. This work is about practice, and we will engage it with a commitment to the compassion, kindness, and courage it deserves.
- Core Faculty Renée Rosario and Board Member Adam Bailon will facilitate the group to work with key elements of Enneagram type as we interact with and are activated by the experience of living in a white-centered society.
- Together, we will:
- – Identify and begin the process of seeing how white supremacy impacts or becomes enmeshed with your understanding of type
- – Engage somatic practices and develop awareness of what arises in our whole beings (mind, body, heart) as we encounter the realities of racism in our world, our community, and ourselves
- – Practice utilizing compassionate self-understanding and courageous presence to deepen our capacity to resist oppression and cultivate justice in our communities
