Discover how the defense system of each Enneagram type shows up in your life, bring awareness to your unconscious patterns, and identify your own next steps for growth.
This event has prerequisites.
- In Engaging Transformational Growth, you’ll examine how type functions to keep us safe while also causing us to become stuck in automatic and unconscious patterns that prevent us from thriving. Explore the defense system expressed through each type as you identify who your type requires you to be to feel safe and what you must avoid to maintain that identity.
- Through practices such as the Transformational Growth Process, the Law of Three, and somatic resourcing, you’ll discover ways to bring kind awareness to patterns of reactivity and see yourself and others more clearly beyond the bias of type. As a result, we can develop greater freedom, choice, and flexibility beyond the limitations of our Enneagram type.
- Engaging Transformational Growth is one of our four Foundational Courses and a prerequisite to join our Professional Certification Program.
- Students Will:
- • Experience how the idealization, avoidance, and defense mechanism of each type operates in your life through individual, pair, and small group practices
- • Work with discomfort and resistance that arises in order to support transformation
- • Learn the Transformational Growth Process to work with reactivity and build the capacity for more flexibility and freedom in your life and relationships
- • Share your experience on an expertly facilitated panel to reflect on how the defense system reinforces your type patterns and identify your own next steps for growth
- Course includes:
- • 20+ hours of live teachings, practices, panels, and group work
- • Access to video recordings of the teachings to review online
- • 45-page PDF workbook and access to course slides
- • Helen Palmer meditation recordings
- • Access to an interactive online community of Enneagram learners

- Experiencing the Narrative Enneagram
- Things to know
- • Attendance: If you have a scheduling conflict please contact the registrar. If you need to miss more than 2 hours, you will need to sign up for another training.
- • Scholarships may be available. Learn about scholarships and contact the registrar with questions.
- • ICF CCE credits are available for this course; $50 with course registration or $75 after the course starts.
- • Technical requirements: You will need a computer with internet access; headphones are optional but may be necessary.
