I've been told I have a calming energy. I start with listening, asking questions, and reflecting back what I hear you saying. I'll ask you what you see as a problem and what you want to change. I enjoy and work well with clients who self-reflect and implement behavioral changes in their life. I assign homework tasks.
I view psychotherapy as a specialized form of communication that can evoke transformation. I use a quasi-structured approach in therapy that draws from different sources of wisdom including including Buddhist Psychology, Stoicism, The Enneagram, DBT, Neurolinguistic Programming, and The Work of Byron Katie.
Through psychotherapy, I hope you'll come away with a deeper understanding of your patterns of thinking, emoting, and behaving, and how to navigate life challenges with greater clarity, skill, and happiness.
