Bethany Alvey

To Love. To Encourage. To Sing. These three imperatives have been the call and compass for me in Spiritual Direction, in research, the classroom, and in life.

I have been a choral conductor and music educator since 2007, and continue working this context via directing community choir and teaching elementary school music.

As a spiritual companion, I work from the stance of a Christian informed by Celtic tradition and others, but welcome everyone of all (or no) formal faith background into the direction space.

I work with the Enneagram in both spiritual direction and education contexts, and am finding ways to educate the community of Southern Maryland in this transformative framework.
